A new era has started on 3rd Oct 2020 when honorable prime minister of India has inaugurated the Atal tunnel. Situated at 3048 meter above sea level with length of 9.2kms (5.71miles) is world’s longest tunnel on such higher altitude. The remote district of Himachal Pradesh, Lahul & Spiti is now accessible in few minutes from Manali side. As per locals they just need now 10-15 minutes to reach on the Manali side, where earlier it took them around 4-5 or sometimes 6 hours to reach Manali side by crossing Rohtang Pass. Now through this tunnel all weather connectivity to Lahaul is possible, we at Travel Gypsy now launching our new tours to Lahaul by Rohtang Tunnel (Atal Tunnel). Lahaul culture is amazing and is always full of folk dances and songs. There are beautiful villages to see on the tour, Lahaul valley is nourished by two rivers Chandra and Bhaga, which becomes Chenab at their confluence at Tandi in Pattan valley.

Days 01
Chandigarh – Manali
Arrive at Chandigarh airport / railway station, meet our driver / representative and drive to Manali. This 11.5hrs journey to Manali will give you a little idea about the hills of Himachal Pradesh, once you cross the Mandi, hill climb will start, arrive Manali – check in to hotel, later visit the famous mall road/ Tibetan market etc.Overnight at hotel.
Days 02
Manali
Morning breakfast at hotel, then leave for full day tour of Manali Covering, Hadimba temple, Manu temple, Vashisht, Tibetan Monastery, nagar castle etc. Evening free to explore mall road on own, Diner at hotel, overnight stay at hotel.
Days 03
Manali – Sissu – Gondla – Tandi – Keylong Jispa
Morning breakfast at hotel, check out and leave to explore Lahaul by Atal Tunnel, on the way Solang valley, you can stop here for various activities on own, later drive by Atal tunnel, stop at Sissu lake, drive through the picturesque Gondla and Tandi & Keylong, arrive Jispa, overnight in hotel with overnight stay.
Days 04
Jispa – Darcha–Patsio – Zing Zing Bar – Jispa
Morning breakfast at hotel, later leave for Zing Zing bar Zing Zing Bar is situated at 14010 feet above sea level And journey to this place by road is amazing, on the Way stop at various place for photo shoot, like Darcha Sumdo, Deepak Tal, Patsio. Later return to Jispa and Overnight with dinner at hotel.
Days 05
Jispa – Manali – Chandigarh
Morning check out from hotel, and drive to Chandigarh, drop at airport/ railway station.

Must carry during the tour
Since winter is hard in Lahaul and Spiti, hence it becomes very necessary to take care of yourself, in day time temperature is ok, but in evening and nights it falls drastically. Hence we are listing things below which are necessary to carry during winter tours to Lahaul tour.
- Gloves - one pair of woollen and 1 pair of insulated waterproof gloves is required.
- Scarves made of woollen (muffler)
- Sunscreen lotion contains SPF 40 or above
- A windproof Jacket

Points to consider
Due to Covid 19- there is limited staff available in hotels, hence amenities will also be limited, Since water freezes during winter – hence water bucket will be provided in hotels, and flash will not operate in toilets.
